Kindergarten students practiced their cutting and gluing skills to create these turkeys before Thanksgiving. They were introduced to the element of art called texture. They learned that texture is the way that something feels and as artists we can show texture by creating texture rubbings with the side of a crayon. Students created texture rubbings to create colorful feather shapes for their turkeys.
